Charlie`s Forced To Rehab
Charlie Sheen has pleaded guilty to assaulting his wife and has been sentenced to 30 days in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
The Two and a Half Men star was arrested on Christmas Day after his wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, told police that he had threatened to kill her while brandishing a knife.
He was charged with felony menacing, misdemeanor third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
But in exchange for pleading guilty, prosecutors dropped the charges for menacing and criminal mischief.
After the actor has completed his 30 days in rehab, he will go on three months probation and have to attend 36 hours of anger management.
The 44-year-old has 30 days to hand himself in to the Promises Treatment Centre in Malibu.
This isn`t the first time Charlie has been on the wrong side of the law, in 1997 he charged with attacking a girlfriend at his California home. He later pleaded no contest and was placed on two years` probation.
Let`s hope this stint in rehab helps Charlie get his life back on track.
